Non NHS Services

Private Work Fees – Important Information

The NHS provides free healthcare for most people. However, please be aware that GPs are self-employed, and not all services we offer are covered under the NHS contract.

Non-NHS Services
Certain forms, letters, and reports fall outside the scope of NHS-funded work and are therefore classed as private work. These requests are handled by our clinicians outside of their regular surgery hours.

Fees & Payment
A set fee applies for all non-NHS services. Payment must be made in advance before any work begins. A full list of charges can be found in our Fees for Non-NHS Services guide. Staff or your doctor will inform you of any costs before proceeding.

Processing Times
Private work typically takes 6–8 weeks to complete.

Review & Refunds
Once we receive your request and payment, your registered GP will review it. If they are unable to complete the request, we will notify you within 2 weeks and provide a full refund.

Please note:

  • Refunds are only issued if the GP declines the work.

  • If you believe there is an error in the completed work, you must follow our complaints process to seek resolution.

  • We cannot guarantee the outcome of any claim or appeal that you are supporting with the requested documentation.
